Re-Logic’s Terraria has sold 58.7 million copies in 13 years

The long-running sandbox game Terraria has now sold 58.7 million copies, according to developer Re-Logic.Looking back on the game on its forums, the developer noted its growth since its initial May 2011 launch. Steam revealed its 20 most-played Steam Deck games for the month of May, and at the top of the list was Hades II.Supergiant Games' sequel had a surprise Early Access release on May 6, and opened to over 100,000 concurrent players. As determined by play time, a lot of players put time into the game, which will remain in Early Access through the rest of 2024.The original Hades, which has also gotten a player boost thanks to its successor, was the fourth most-played game of May. UK Games Fund grants £3 million to 22 ‘rising’ game developers

UK's Department for Culture, Media and Sport revealed 22 game developers were awarded a total of £3 million (or $3.73 million) in grants from the country's Game Fund.Per the Department, the funding is part of the UK's efforts to grow its creative industries by £50 billion by 2030.
